Puerto Umbra is a stilt-and-landfill megacity built in vertical strata, and Orizon Group owns the data backbone that runs it. Maria Vela is a burnt-out freelance netrunner who stopped asking what's in a job a long time ago — until a routine data-scrape turns up proof that Orizon's flagship wellness augment has been quietly harvesting neural data from three hundred thousand people to feed a black project called ELEGY.

Orizon doesn't call the police. It calls a reclaimer — a bounty hunter running military wetware — and sends him after her. She used to run with him, before he got bought.

SIGNAL BLEED is a chase novel that turns into a heist-in-reverse: to survive, Maria has to stop running long enough to break back into the system hunting her.


This novel was created using an AI-assisted workflow. I developed the story concept, directed the narrative and visual style, iterated extensively on the manuscript, and assembled the final illustrated edition. AI was used as a creative production tool throughout the project.
